Noughty Wave Hello Product Range Review
Noughty Wave Hello products are certainly getting attention.
What spot-on branding these guys have.
Curly influencers love the brand and for weeks I was seeing it pop up all over Instagram.
The range isn’t exclusively for curly hair but it’s their ‘Wave Hello’ range that has really taken off and is creating a buzz.

A quick look at the benefits:
All Noughty products are
- Curly Girl Approved
- 97% natural
- Silicone-free
- Sulphate-free
- Paraben-free
- Petrochemical-free
- Vegan and Cruelty-free
Very impressive!
The brand’s unique point as far as I’m concerned is the price.
They are far from the only mostly natural, sulphate-free, silicone-free products out there, but for under £10 per product? The list gets considerably smaller.
I have tried 6 Noughty products so far!
Wave Hello Shampoo, Wave Hello Conditioner, Wave Hello Curl Taming Cream, Detox Dynamo Shampoo, Intensive Care Leave-in Conditioner, To The Rescue Treatment Mask
First Up..
Curl Taming Cream
Noughty Wave Hello Curl Taming Cream was my first purchase. I had just joined the curly hair gel movement and I was loving it, but I just had to buy that one extra curl product. I tried it on it’s own, as the solo styling product.
The cream is thick and smells natural and kind of buttery..but not that strong. I love that it has a subtle smell.
I applied quite a lot onto wet hair, no towel drying first, just scrunched it in. Then plopped my hair in a t-shirt for 30 mins and gently diffused for 10 mins. Air dried the rest. The cream does form a slight cast around the curl clumps.
When my hair was 100% dry I scrunched out the cast with a few drops of argan oil.
I loved the volume!

I could feel the hold around my curls. The texture of the cream meant that I could also move my hair around at the root to increase the volume further.
Second day curls are really where it’s at with this product. The hold was amazing and they looked even better on day 2 than day 1! I had my hair up in a pineapple overnight and the definition was even better when I took it down.
It became my favourite curl product instantly.
Active Ingredients include QuinOxy – Noughty’s curl-optimising formula which reduces volume and frizz, and mango butter which softens and moisturises.
Wave Hello Shampoo

I had to try the Noughty Wave Hello shampoo and conditioner – just because I love the cream so much.
The shampoo and conditioner both have a similar fragrance. The smell is strong, not unpleasant but strong which was a surprise following the Taming Cream.
The shampoo doesn’t lather up very much at all.
Once you know, it’s fine. I was still expecting a bit more of a lather becasue even my prevois sulpahte free shampoos lathered up a fair bit.
It contains sea kelp extract and avocado oil. Both are rich in vitamins. The main cleansing ingredient is a mild water-soluble surfactant which is derived from coconut!
Wave Hello Conditioner
The condtioner has a lovely creamy texture.
I used this as my leave-in conditioner too. I used the ‘squish to condish’ method and scrunched a small dollop of conditioner back into my hair after my shower.
This product contains Noughty’s house blend of oils! I love this as a concept.. These help with hair’s suppleness, smoothness, shine and reduce breakage and damage. Other active ingredients are sea fennel, Irish moss and avocado oil.
Overall I am loving the shampoo and conditioner too. They are heavy products. They don’t make my hair greasy but I can feel the weight of them on my hair.
What they definitely do is prevent frizz!
I was impressed.
I spent a whole day outside in the rain with an umbrella but no hood. There was rainy mist everywhere, for hours! When I looked in the mirror I really expected that all my hard work in perfecting my curls (they looked GREAT in the morning when I set off) to be ruined. Instead, they were vIrtually intact. These products really do help prevent frizz.
The only thing is.. Having washed my hair with the shampoo and conditioner 3 times I did feel like there was some build up forming. Not a huge amount, but my hair felt..buttery! I felt lke I needed to clarify.
I came back from the shops with
Noughty’s Detox Dynamo Shampoo
Lo and behold, what does it say on the back of the bottle? They recommend using it every 3rd shampoo to detox! Well there we go. They are right!
I loved this shampoo too.
This one does lather up. I know it’s psychological but it does feel like it really is cleaning. Great fresh pepperminty smell too.
Interesting active ingredients including sugar beet extract which conditions the hair.
It will also remove build-up from hard water (fantastic), pollution and chlorine.
Intensive Care Leave-in Conditioner
The slip on this product is amazing. I put it on soaking wet hair before styling products and this alone hydrates and helps with definition. I like the fact that some of the heavier ingredients – shea butter and glycerin are not right at the top of the list – it is definitely lighter than the curl cream, for example.
This product contains protein, too. Wheat amino acids! Perfect for strengthening weakened strands.
To The Rescue Treatment Mask
This is my go-to deep conditioning treatment! It quickly became my favourite hair mask. It’s rich, thick and moisturising and contains a blend of oils and shea butter.
Overall…yes! Love these products. There are still more to try but I’ve yet to be disappointed. I will certainly be buying more..
Now who puts it up on Insta? Me!
