Color Wow Dream Coat for Curly Hair is one of those cult-status, expensive products. One that I had been longing to try for at least a year. Now I finally have my hands on some, is it worth the hype?
Here’s what I like about Dream Coat for Curly Hair
Lightweight, one-and-done product, defines well.
Here’s what I don’t like
It doesn’t make a great refresh spray
Curly Girl Method Approved?
Yes

My priorities have changed. My goal for the first 2 years of my curly/wavy journey was to have the most defined texture possible. Any product that promised definition was ok by me.
While I still strive for defined, bouncy curls, I now also want something else from my products. Something that goes against the very nature of a product that goes onto your hair; I don’t want to feel them, at all.
As a spray, Color Wow Dream Coat for Curly Hair seemed like a dream product, indeed. It is even sold as a ‘miracle moisture mist‘. It promises to be a one-step solution that will replace all other curly hair products (gels, creams, etc.) to provide crunch-free, grease-free, moisturised curls.
Wow, indeed.

How to use it

Who is it for?
This is a product for wavy and or curly hair. 2A through to 3C.
The results
This product defined my wavy curls really well. I applied it liberally because (as per the instructions) it was the only product that I used.
My hair dried quickly and I enjoyed the fact that I didn’t have to have to wait for a cast to form (or scrunch one away!)
The best thing of all? I couldn’t feel any product in my hair! Bingo.
It is lightweight as promised.
Is it worth buying?
I would say yes. I’m pretty sure Dream Coat for Curly Hair will become one of my staple products. The ease of use makes it a great option, and who doesn’t want to use a single product to moisturise and style their hair?!
The downside is with regards to refreshing. This might be unfair, but due to the fact that this product comes as a spray, I assumed it could be used as a refresh. Not so much. It had very little effect when sprayed onto my dry hair. Not a problem or a reason not to buy, just something to be aware of.
Overall, this gets a yes from me.
